Cottle County
Walked on 09/03/2015

Walk registration box is here.

1st United Methodist Church.

Nice fence with Canas.

Closed building which I thought might be a school.

Moon flowers.

Murals on closed business

We did a loop through the cemetery.

Historical marker in cemetery.

Homemade marker for 14yr old "killed by a donkey".

This poor 10 year old froze to death.

Not sure if this empty building was an actual barn or a house built to look like a barn.

We passed back by the closed building. Turns out it was the W.Q.Richards Memorial Hospital.

Tree covered in seeds not flowers.

Nice rock wall around a playgrond.

The "Lady Dragons" ride in style to their games.

High School Administrative Offices.

Ed pointed out this parked semi-trailer to me. It has been parked here for so long it can no longer be moved without cutting down some trees. Makes you wonder how it came to be forgotten here by the side of the road.

Tree crushing this side of the semi trailer.

Tree squeezing the other side.

Rusted license plate looks like 1979.

Railroad depot is now the Heritage Museum.

Fire truck parked at the museum.

Part of a movie theatre.

Ed looking around inside museum.

I remember having one of these to play with!

Cottle County Courthouse

Small park outside of town.

Old jail is now the visitor's center, but it was closed.

Another Quanah Parker Trail Marker.

Information about Quanah.

Eagle on the corner of the courthouse.

Inside the courthouse all the office doors lock like safes.

Old Palace theatre on the courthouse square.

Historical marker in front of the courthouse.

Part of the mural in the park next to the courthouse.

Another section of the mural.
