Granbury Volksmarching Event
09/12/2015

Just leaving the airport start location.

Out past the airport entrance.

We turned at the drive in. Open only on weekends, the
theatre shows two movies each Friday and Saturday night.

We went through residential area. I liked the rock supports on this generous porch.

We passed by the edge of the lake. .

Lovely old bank building.

Granbury courthouse. 1890 French Second
Empire style in white limestone.

Built in 1898 as a hardware store. In 1929
two walls were removed to make a drive in
gas station. Now a restaurant.

Granbury Live – concerts held here.

Slightly off the walk route is the old jail (now a museum).

Also off the walk route is the statue of
Gen. Granbury for whom the city is named.

Walk continued into the park.

Ed and a nice water feature.

Another waterfall.

Hobby horses were first invented in Granbury.

Our checkpoint volunteers.

A large group that had stopped to chat.

Art from old farm equipment.

We passed the police station.

Les and Kathy worked the finish table.
