Dimmit County Courthouse. |
Dimmit county was created in 1858 from pieces of 4 other counties. It was formally organized in 1880 and Carrizo Springs was chosen as it's county seat. Courthouse construction was started in 1883. In 1920s courthouse was enlarged and remodeled to it's current design. |
