Historic Anchorage YRE Volksmarch
07/28/2009

We came to Alaska just to get the stamp for this state in our Volksmarch book. I chose this YRE because its description said the route included most of the historical sites downtown along with a brief decription. I was not disappointed. This was a terrific walk. I took lots of pictures of pretty flowers, totem poles, and other artwork. We strolled thru most of the stores and bought several t-shirts. We greatly enjoyed this event. It was cool and overcast when we started walking, but the rain held off until after we finished the walk.
