The Plaza Theatre dates back to at least 1926. It closed as a movie theater in the early 1970s. It is now known as the Paris Community Theatre.

After the 1916 fire destroyed their church buildings, two congregations merged to form the First United Methodist Church. Their new building was started around 1921 and finished in 1924.
